Android highlights in 2023 — Droidcon London overview
Each year developers from around the world gather to listen the latest and greatest topics from the ever-evolving world of Android development, enhance their skills and connect with other passionate Android experts.
In October this year, I visited the Droidcon conference in London which lasted for 2 days full of tech talks on multiple tracks.
The event took place in the Business Design Centre, attended by people all over the world as one of the most prominent Android conference. Jetpack Compose and UI optimization, Kotlin Multiplatform, Flutter development, Android architecture and testing Android apps, were part of the hot topics where the interest and expertise of the Android community was showcased. With the fast evolution of the Android framework, many novelties which make development easier and faster are constantly being introduced. In these context, developers shared with the Android community, their tools, tips and values from lessons learned in practical experience.
I particularly liked that I was able to hear good perspectives not only on cutting edge tools and frameworks, but also from talks that were addressing topics like how to conduct tech interviews, what to look for when interviewing, and how to make the time and effort a positive experience and a successful outcome.
That being said, it was a great opportunity not only for gaining insights of the cool experiences and knowledge presented, but also to meet with peers from around the world, have discussions and share opinions on diverse Android topics.
